…………………… Day 1 ……………………

10:00 Head down to Lakeshore Drive where you can visit the Summerland Trout Hatchery. You can take a tour with our knowledgeable staff. There are crafts for the kids and a huge fish tank, here you can learn about the life cycle of a trout, see it in the different stages and feed them. The tours are adaptable to all ages.  13405 Lakeshore Drive South.

11:00 Drive up to The Nixdorf Classic Car Museum. Admire the Classic cars as well as some fascinating antiques such as jukeboxes and mammoth teeth! 15809 Logie Rd.

12:00 The downtown area has several great delis and cafes to lunch at. Children enjoy the Sweet Tooth where ice cream for dessert is a must!

1:00 After you have enjoyed lunch take the family to the Summerland Museum, where you can travel back in time and learn about Summerland’s rich history. Upstairs the Family can enjoy the model train set depicting Summerland in its early years. The train really travels around the track with the push of a button.

2:00 Pack some water and get your Towel and Bathing suit head to one of the beautiful beaches along Okanagan Lake. Stop at either Marketplace IGA or Nesters and pick up the ingredients for S’mores as well as some hot dogs to roast over the fire pits located at the beach. Spend the afternoon and early evening with sand and water enjoyment.

…………………… Day 2 ……………………

10:00 Take a trip up to the Kettle Valley Railway. Hour and a half picturesque train ride, while learning about Summerland and the Steam Train itself. Be entertained by Felix Possak, the resident musician on the train.

11:00 Take pleasure in a nice lunch at Zia’s Stonehouse, where you can have a variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads. They have a children’s menu as well. If the weather permits sit out on the patio and watch your kids play in the area provided to keep them entertained with swings and slides.

12:30 Visit The Dickinson Family Farm. Here you can pick your own fruit. The Worlds Tallest Orchard Ladder is to be found here. A Perfect photo opportunity. While here learn about the farm history and take a look at the antique farm equipment.

1:30 Slip on your bathing suit and grab your towel, travel to the Millennium Water Park, Summerland’s spray park. It is a great way to cool off and to have a relaxing afternoon.

4:00 Take a drive to Summerland Sweets. This is where you are able to sample fruit syrups and jams that are made right at the plant, situated behind the store. They sell ice cream, syrups, jams, pottery and they also have an all fruit winery.
