Many successful small business owners share the ability to see the big picture and envision what their success will look like tomorrow. There are a variety of ways small business owners can focus on the future and keep moving forward. Networking and continued learning are two great ways to help advance your knowledge and grow your business.

At the Summerland Chamber of Commerce we are always looking for new opportunities for our members. Here are some new events and educational opportunities to look into for your business:

Education and networking opportunities

April 9: Accelerate Okanagan Tech Talk Networking event. 4:30-6:30pm at Cowork Penticton

April 9 Learn about the eligibility requirements for benefits to the Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Old Age Security (OAS) and the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) and changes to the plans. Presented by Service Canada and sponsored by Edward Jones.  The seminar will be held at the Summerland Chamber meeting room (upstairs) from 5:30pm to 6:30pm – Coffee and refreshments will be served.  This seminar is free but space is limited.  Please contact Retha Marsden at 250-494-7007 or Tim Broesch at 250-494-1800 to reserve your seats for this event.

April 13: Expand your network with our neighbours in Peachland by attending the Peachland Business Expo, 9am-5pm.

April 23: Business after Business, hosted by RBC Royal Bank (7519 Prairie Valley Rd) 5-7pm
